I am a clinical psychologist, currently in private practice in Brookline, Massachusetts, U.S.A. I consult to the Brookline Schools, to Dorchester Counseling Center, and to the Family Connection program affiliated with the New England Home for Little Wanderers. I am a faculty member of the [ hypertext this -] Family Institute of Cambridge. I am a Fellow of the Center for Multicultural Training in Psychology affiliated with Boston City Hospital (now Boston Medical Center), and Clerk and founding Director of the Network for Multicultural Training in Psychology, Inc.
My interests include working across differences in race/culture/class/gender/sexual orientation, system theory, family therapy (including the recent emergence of the social constructionist paradigm in this field), social network intervention, and developmental psychology.
In my private practice, I work with problems organized around learning disability in child/family/school/service provider systems. My current intellectual passion, inspired by the work of Finnish psychologist and network therapist Jaaco Seikkula, is exploration of constructivist/constructionist ideas to make sense of change in therapy, with particular reference to events in social network assemblies.
